Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is an extremely popular American after winning American Idol's debut season. Not only was she pushed into fame by winning and announcing the contract for several albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records. Since then, she's made several studio albums. Three of which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just did not make it to the top. Her name is among American Idol's most successful performers. She experimented as she gained success with diverse musical and theme styles, often writing the songs herself. Her work was praised by critics and several important awards for her creativity and vocal talent. She has been awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. Her music career is not her only occupation. She also appears in television and film. She has also written the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with several charities.
