Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. Her father, an Argentinean of Scottish and English descendant is her mother. Her mother comes from Spanish and English ancestry. Four of her siblings belong to her father's previous marriage. The family lived within Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria part of London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatizing and that she didn't learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in productions of the school. She quit the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actor from a young age. She realized her dream when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
